One of our goals at the West Jordan Chamber of Commerce is to help our community get to know the incredible people behind our local businesses. That’s why we’re excited to launch our new Business Beat series!
Our very first Business Beat features Brandon Petterson of Dryer Vent Superheroes, and it was both educational and entertaining.
During our conversation, Brandon shared why regular dryer vent cleaning is so important, not only for improving the efficiency of your dryer, but also for helping reduce one of the leading causes of preventable house fires. Many homeowners don’t realize how quickly lint can build up inside a vent system, creating both safety hazards and higher energy costs.
Of course, no Business Beat would be complete without a few memorable stories!
Brandon had us laughing as he shared a story about a marriage that nearly ended over an item lost in a dryer vent, another about students finding creative (and mischievous) ways to use dryer vents, and even a story involving squirrels that decided a vent looked like the perfect place to call home. These real-life experiences remind us that every business has stories, expertise, and personalities that make them unique.
That’s exactly why we’re creating this series.
When we take the time to learn about local businesses, we don’t just discover what they do, we get to know the people behind the business. Trust grows through relationships, and relationships are built through conversation.
That’s one of the philosophies guiding the West Jordan Chamber:
