Over the past several weeks, one thing has become abundantly clear: West Jordan is filled with people who care deeply about this community.
Business owners, nonprofit leaders, residents, educators, city leaders, and entrepreneurs have all shared their hopes for what they would love to see in our city. Many have also expressed a desire for stronger connections, more collaboration, and more opportunities to support local businesses.
That is exactly what we’re working to build.
The very first Chamber of Commerce was originally created for a simple purpose: to help local businesses build trusted relationships, gain visibility, support one another, and strengthen the community they served.
More than 425 years later, those goals are just as relevant today.
As our Chamber begins this next chapter, we aren’t simply asking businesses to become members; we’re inviting our entire community to help build something meaningful together.
Our current philosophy is simple:
“Let us show you what we can do, rather than tell you.”
We know trust is earned, and we intend to earn it through action, listening, collaboration, and creating opportunities that help businesses and our community thrive.
Recently, our new Chamber President, Myhriah Young, shared more about this vision in a Facebook post, discussing why partnership, not just membership, is at the heart of where the Chamber is headed.

Show Up
Sometimes the most valuable thing you can do is simply be present.
Come to an event. Introduce yourself. Meet someone new. Join the conversation.
Communities aren’t built by organizations alone; they’re built by people who choose to participate.
It Takes a Village
One phrase you’ll continue hearing around the West Jordan Chamber is this:
It takes a village to support a business.
We believe businesses thrive when they’re connected to one another, when residents know the people behind local businesses, and when communities intentionally choose to support the places they call home.
That’s why many of our new initiatives are built around one simple idea:
Learn Local → Know Local → Trust Local → Support Local
If you’d like to be part of building that village, we’d love to welcome you.
We’re just getting started, and we believe the best is still ahead.
